I just came back from the most amazing 3 weeks of my life
Now, Wheels was amazing too, but this takes the cake

I learned so much about myself and Judaism, that my head is still spinning (#1 b/c it was so much knowledge and #2 I just don't want to cry)

BCI is a secretive place, meaning if I tell u about it, I'd have to kill you. It's so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so... AWESOME.

The most amazing people were there, no one judged anyone else, chivalry is NOT dead, and the group got along SO well that it shocked me. Never in my life have I been in a group where everyone talked to everyone, and respected everyone else. Wow :-D

My Aunty Hopey died this evening
She was like my nana and treated me like her own granddaughter
I feel priveleged to have gotten so close to her over the past who knows how many years.
She was the most amazing person I ever met, fighting cancer til the end.
Aunty Hopey went back to Georgia after 5 or so months in RI getting treatment. I guess she knew it was time to get back to her immediate family.
Whenever I could go to Nana's to see her I would b/c she was just that amazing. We would laugh until we cried. Tell stories that would make my Nana run out of the room b/c she was going to pee her pants.
We had some awesome times together sitting on the porch or around the kitchen table.
I will miss her with all my heart but I am glad that she doesn't have to suffer through the pain anymore.

Please go to www.thebreastcancersite.com and help give free mammograms to women so that they don't have to go through what my Aunty Hopey went through.

Why are the good people in my life always those who suffer?

Got back from Brazil knowing, but not wanting to know. Dad just had to look at me and i lost it.
I didn't want to ask when I called nana and mom answered the phone. I didn't want to ask when I was talking to Shosh. I didn't want to ask when i called home on Monday from Manaus and no one was there at 9pm, not even Bud. I just did not want to know.
My Papa is a hero. He was a fighter and fought up til the last moment when the terrible disease took his life. I think, in my heart, that he was waiting for me to come home. He almost did it too.
Sunday morning I was in a community and arund 5:30 I began to get naseus and throw up. I don't believe it was a coincidence, my body knew, but didn't want to know. I had dreamed about him not long before walking around my nana's house. It was a short dream but I opened her back door and there he was, like I used to know him, no wheelchair, no sleeping, no crutch. Standing there looking healthy. Amazing how love works huh?
The world has lost a hero but not without him leaving a piece of him inside us all. His soul will forever be in our hearts.

The funeral was Tuesday and I was on a plane, naseous. Naseous from the time he passed until now. Shoulda known, just did not want to. I'm gonna go to the cemetary sometime soon, I need some closure, as hard as it will be. I can barely be alone right now.

Trying to think of what I am actually thankful for on this Thanksgiving. G-d has blessed us with memories of which I am thankful. My family cried and laughs all the same. If you were to walk into my nana's house yesterday and seen us laughing our asses off to my brother's stories, you would have thought we'd all gone crazy. Papa would want it this way. Mourn him? nah. Remember him and the good he has done for everyone- definitly.

Standing room only at the funeral, i was told. Not surprised. They had to close the door b/c they ran out of room.

My Papa- amazing, wonderful, loving, sweet, a man who fought til the end. Being his only granddaughter I think we had quite a connection. One that none of my cousins and maybe even my brother have ever had.
It's hard on me, just gotta be with nana and mom- be strong for them while also being my Papa's girls all together. The three of us will ALWAYS be Papa's girls.
